KEEPING YOU SAFE

These measures are implemented in accordance with the current advice and guidance from UK and local Government and will be continually reviewed
All persons attending, working and volunteering at a performance are advised not to attend if they are experiencing Covid symptoms
Actors take a lateral flow test the night before the performance
Hand sanitiser gel will be provided
If possible, please consider wearing masks when in a confined space
Where possible, surfaces will be sanitised
Finally, please respect other patrons, keeping your distance where you can. If you would like to discuss in more detail or have any feedback following your experience, please email reception@h2hsensorytheatre.com
DO I HAVE TO BOOK?
We do encourage you to book in advance as we keep the audience numbers small and have a maximum capacity. If you wish to walk-in on the day please telephone to check availability (01372 278021). Please note we cannot guarantee admittance after the performance starts
IF I TURN UP TO A SHOW WITHOUT BOOKING, CAN I PAY BY CARD?
No, we cannot accept card payments at a show. However, we can take your details and will ask for payment at a later date
WHAT AGE ARE THE SHOWS SUITABLE FOR?
Shows are suitable for all ages. We ask for the age(s) of the participants before a show which helps us personalise the experience for them. We do ask that all children and young adults with special needs are supervised throughout the performance
IS IT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Yes! All the venues are chosen carefully to ensure complete inclusion. This means venues are wheelchair accessible and often have a Hygiene Room and/or hoist and changing facilities suitable for those in a wheelchair and other disabilities and special needs. Please email to enquire about individual venues
ARE THERE FLASHING LIGHTS, STROBES AND SMOKE?
There will be a smoke machine used at one brief moment during the show
DO ADULTS HAVE TO PAY/ARE CARERS FREE?
Everyone attending Head2Head Sensory Theatre needs to buy a ticket. As a charity, we try to keep our charges to a minimum as we want everyone to be able to enjoy the magic of theatre. To make this as simple as possible, we charge a flat admission fee per person attending. If you are making a group booking, please email us first to discuss requirements. Children under 2 are FREE OF CHARGE
I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY TICKET?
Please note we do not issue tickets. If you did not receive your confirmation email, please check your junk and spam folders. During busy periods, it can take up to 72 hours to receive your booking confirmation. If, after this time, you still do not see your confirmation email, please contact us at reception@h2hsensorytheatre.com
WHAT HAPPENS AT A SHOW?
Each experience varies. Our immersive learning experiences require more movement and our pantomimes and live shows will be ‘sit down’ experiences with audience seating facing a performance space and sets. However, if your child likes to move around during performances, this is not an issue. All we ask is that should your child go behind the sets, then they are retrieved as there could be trip hazards.
There are opportunities for some children to take part during the performance. An actor might approach a child before the performance starts to make an offer to join in and dress up as a character. Please do not worry about declining.
There will be multi-sensory moments offered by the actors during the performance for audience members to experience. Should your child feel anxious about an actor’s approach, then feel free to put up your hand in a ‘stop’ sign and the actor will keep away until you signal them to return.
If your child is anxious about noise levels during the performance, then they might like to visit the Chill-Out Zone and return after a while.
HOW LONG DO SHOWS LAST?
Performances last approximately 60 minutes, with no interval. Other experiences can be shorter.
HOW CAN I PREPARE MY CHILD FOR THE EVENT?
We also send a resource pack a week before the show packed full of information, puzzles, song lyrics, crafts and other activities to help make the experience as fun as possible. We also share with you a social story so your child knows what to expect at the show. Songs from the show are available to purchase on a USB for £5 inc postage & packing.
