Drama Workshops

Drama workshops for children with special needs and disabilities.

Head2Head’s drama workshops provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for children and young people to have fun, make friends and learn new skills in drama, in a friendly and accessible space.

Workshops will return in Autumn/Winter 2023 and take place at Drewshearne Barn in Oxted, Surrey.

The sessions are suitable for children and young adults between the ages of 7-19+ with moderate learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities.

Participants will be stimulated to grow their drama and movement skills whilst developing self-expression, self-confidence, and sociability.

Using drama games, role play and improvisation sessions will allow participants to;

  • Explore character
  • Encourage creativity
  • Promote verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Enhance performance
  • Explore words and themes of different musical genres using ‘Sing & Sign’ Makaton.

Accompanying adults are welcome to ‘Stop or Drop’, or to wait in our Green Room. They are also welcome to join, if required to assist.
