Performer Call Out 2026

Head2Head Sensory Theatre in Oxted, is seeking two professional performers to join our team for our 2026 sensory production, Yearn2Learn: A Great Greek Adventure.

This immersive 45-minute show retells Greek myths through a sensory lens, using chants, rhythm, puppetry, repetition, song and Makaton signing to make theatre accessible for all audiences, particularly children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Auditions

Tuesday 17th March 2026 (10am–4pm)
In person (Oxted, Surrey) preferred, or online via Teams.

The Role

Performers will:

• Cover multiple acting and puppeteering roles

• Sing (4–5 songs within the show)

• Use Makaton signing (support provided if needed)

• Work alongside three learning-disabled volunteer performers during the initial run

We are looking for engaging, friendly and collaborative individuals. Experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities and puppeteering is desirable, but not essential.

Essential requirement:

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive the company van.

Rehearsals & Performances

Rehearsals (Oxted):
15th, 17th, 20th, 22nd & 24th April 2026 (10am–6pm TBC)

• W/C 4th May 2026 (Final rehearsal)

Initial Public Performances:

• 25th April – Oxted

• 2nd May – Surbiton

• 3rd May – Crowborough

Further bookings will run until October Half Term 2026 (subject to availability).
